Kenda Tyres – “The Wright Stuff”
Round 1 of the 2012 Rodian Homes HQ Racing Series kicked off at Winton Motor Raceway on the Labour Day long weekend. The all new to HQ Racing Kenda Tyre had its first race win in Australia. Coincidentally the winning driver was Ken Wright, “Ken wins on Kenda’s"
Earlier in the weekend Kenda Tyres filled 4 out of the top 5 grid positions with Carl McHenry on pole, Stephen Whyte 2nd, Chris Collins 4th and Ken Wright 5th. At the end of Race 1, a 6 lap journey, the Kenda Tyre cars of Carl McHenry and Ken Wright finished 2nd & 3rd respectively.
Sunday morning’s race was a 10 lapper in which Ken was able to take the lead on lap 3 and stay in that position all the way to the finish handing Kenda Tyres their first race win in Australia. Carl McHenry completed a Kenda Tyres 1-2.
Sunday afternoon’s race “The Dallas Crane Challenge” was held over a distance of 8 laps. Ken was able to hold the lead up until the beginning of lap 7 when he was shuffled back to 4th. However towards the end of lap 7, a three car incident handed the lead back to Ken, which he maintained all the way to chequered flag taking Kenda’s second win in successive races and also taking out The Dallas Crane Challenge along with the round win.

Ive been asked , if I could in my own words , tell you of my experiences with Kenda Tyres , and in short exceptional value for money and longevity.
I first purchased my Kenda Tyres, some years ago to go on to my 2005 Falcon Wagon, a building supervisor back then, they were to commute from Geelong to the northern suburbs of Melbourne every day. This vehicle was always well loaded up with building materials. I covered over 110,000km in 2 years, and really could of gone another 10,000km, but I decided to get a new set.
I purchased my 2nd set of Kenda tyres some 12 months ago, again from Highway Tyres Geelong. These are fitted to my 2006 Falcon ute, now building for myself, this vehicle is well loaded up and these are going great! They are a great value tyre and very quiet even after many km's, which has been great for my business.
I am in and out of building sites all the time, they have accommodated me easily as good, if not better, than 'brand name' tyres.

...I came into the Richmond store yesterday to buy some highway max 225/60R15 (remoulds) and as always the quality of service provided was fantastic, the guys really know what they are talking about and are incredibly helpful. They were packed and still managed to get my car finished before the time they advised me.
The tyres I brought I have been using for years and are consistently of high quality unlike a lot of other remoulds/retreads on the market, I have never had them fail on me and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I've tried tyres that are double the price and I still rate the Highway Max's a better tyre.
Also the grip in dry and wet conditions can not be beaten because of how soft they are.

On fitting 225/55R17 Kenda's to my VE Commodore at Highway Tyres Geelong, I found the tyres to be very quiet, perform well and I get at least 10,000km's more than the other 3 brands I have tried.

...On purchasing the four 195/60 R15 Kenda Brand Tyres from Highway Tyres Geelong I was informed I would get 60,000km's if I rotated front to rear at regular intervals. Being a bit skeptical as most of my driving is done on gravel roads, I informed my mechanic to rotate at every service. I was very surprised when my mechanic informed me I was due for new tyres and found out they had done 74,000km's. I highly recommend the Kenda product and are putting on my second set.

... We have always used their retread tyres and not once have we had any trouble with them. We have driven to Sydney, Adelaide and twice to Queensland on retreads. We have driven on other long distant holidays without any trouble. Also the service is always very polite and friendly. So if anyone asked me if I recommend retread tyres from Highway Tyres of Doveton. I would say yes,"

This letter is to confirm the Aeolus drive tyres HN308 has equaled the performance of the Michelin XZE2 tyre which the Scania L94 single drive coach was fitted with from new.
The first set of drive tyres I did 118,000 km's, the second set of Michelin's did 110,000 km's and the third set , which was the Aeolus HN308, achieved 107,000km's. We have just fitted another set of Aeolus to the drive. We have 40% of our fleet on Aeolus and have not had any case problems so far.
If we can achieve the results that these tyres are returning, we are looking at a 30% cost saving on our tyre budget.

The mileage I attained from my Kenda Tyres on my Landcruiser Diesel was fantastic considering towing a 2 ton tandem caravan at times. The mileage achieved was on 85,000 km's and the tyres have been replaced by a second set of Kenda's.
